Are You Prone To Eczema

According to National Institutes of Health about 25 percent people in the world suffer from Eczema. It is estimated that generally one out of nine suffers from this allergy. If you don't know properly what is eczema then just have a look. There are no specific causes of this problem but it usually affects people with a family history of various allergies. In infants, about 10 to 20 percent have been found to be its active target. The infection of the disease subsides only when they turn 5 years of age, while in some children it lasts up to 15 years of age too. In adverse cases it lasts for whole life too. People who lack a strong immunization system, and are genetically prone to polluted environment have high chances of getting infected with Eczema. People, who have Eczema, have also been found to suffer from other allergies and asthma. In early stages of this disease, the skin gets dry and itchy. The patient finds uncontrollable desire to scratch on the infected area. One also finds redness, cracking and bleeding on the skin. Though doctors say that there is no permanent cure to this problem but through regular care and good hygiene practices this problem can be kept at a bay.
